Looking at a friend's pictures of her adorable kids, I was blown away at how beautifully the pictures were taken. The photographer behind the work was Kim.Kim is a truly gifted photographer. She has a very keen and artistic eye for framing shots, and has an amazing ability to capture those special moments on camera.My husband and I were also very impressed with the way in which Kim quickly connected with our 5 years old daughter, and 2 years old son. Kim was recommended to Greg and I by a friend in Long Beach. Her engagement photos on the beach came out charming, beautiful, serene and natural that I knew that I wanted to use Kim for our own session. By the word natural, I mean not forced smiles or expressions but the simple at ease feeling knowing that you are in Kim's hands and that you trust her entirely. Kim and I first started to communicate through email. The thing that impresses me most is the prompt matter in which she responds. Time is precious and the immediacy in which Kim writes back is most impressive. Kim Pace came to take our son's pictures for "The Littlest Hero Project". I found her website online and fell in love with her pictures. I immediately went to the "growing up" gallery and loved how she captured the children's innocent expressions. I knew she would be perfect for our son. My son is 19 months old and is going through a "shy" stage. She was able to open him up and capture true smiles out of him. She had him laughing and playing with her. I had learned about Kim through a friend, who had used her to photograph his newborn daughter last summer. I loved every picture, particularly the style of each photo so I kept the site in "My Favorites" for when I had a baby. My experience with Kim was a pleasure from the start. She was very accomodating and was able to photograph my baby girl, Cassandra, within 10 days of birth. Kim is very down-to-earth and knew what photos to take and where. She was great with my baby when she got cranky, she waited while I fed her, and just worked around all of it. Every picture taken was absolutely beautiful, which made it all that more difficult to choose from. Kim's prices are very reasonable for the quality and items purchased. I received many compliments on the Announcements. Inquire about the "cardstock" used for the annoucements because since mine were a shiny pink, the pictures seemed a little lighter than I thought they would be. The photo album I chose came out beautifully, as well as, the collages. Kim spent a lot of time sending me proofs and worked with me in choosing the photos for the collages and sent me a new proof everytime I changed my mind. She is also very patient for those indecisive people like me. All my family and friends who have seen the pictures she took of my little one have inquired about Kim, and so far two of my friends have used her as a result. I received a gift certificate at my baby shower for Kim to take newborn photos of my son when he was born. I had no idea what to expect but my session with Kim could not have gone any better. She came to my home with everything needed for a great photo session and more. In addition to her professional equipment, she had her own props and even had a portable heater to keep my little guy warm. I never needed to step in when he was being fussy - Kim scooped him right up to comfort him. I used to dread when it came time to take my kids to have their pictures done. It always was the same, waiting at the studio for god knows how long and then a half hour of begging and pleading with them to cooperate with the person taking their pictures (who really had no idea what he/she was doing anyway). Kim came out to our beach location on an especially windy and humid day and was up to the challenge of photographing my less than cooperative 7-year-old and my fiance, who like most men was akward and unsure. Kim has been to my house to take my son's announcement and Baptism photos and the sessions were amazing. Kim is truly made to photograph. She was so kind and loving towards my son and he instantly felt comfortable with her. She even had a heat lamp to keep my newborn cozy for his birthday suit photos. She took the time to make sure that everything was perfect. Needless to say, the photos were so beautiful my house is now an official shrine to my son.
